Happy Halloween! I had my bone marrow biopsy last week, and will have my PET scan tomorrow. I should find out the results from each of these within a week or so. The biopsy might have gone smoothly, but there was a slight complication. A week before, I had a bike accident that left me with a large football-sized bruise on my left side. (I will avoid showing a photo of this rather colorful bruise.) This was almost the exact spot where the doc had to insert the needle to collect needed specimens during the biopsy. The doc was impressed with my bruise, but he did his best to make me comfortable during the procedure. Right now, it's been hard to tell whether the bruise or the biopsy has left me fairly sore. Things are, however, getting better.
